That’s all enamelling really is – a technique used to colour jewellery for more than two thousand years, and one I’ve practised in my Henningsv\u00e6r workshop since 2010.<\/p>\n The glass is fused to the metal at high temperature, becoming part of the piece itself. The colour will not fade, scratch off, or change with time. Transparent enamels catch the light like still water; opaque ones hold their colour with quiet certainty.
