A one of a kind handmade Ginkgo Leaf Necklace, Pendant and detachable chain from recycled silver in my workshop outside Stockholm. The chain is designed and made for this Ginkgo leaf pendant, but can easily be worn on its own as well. Maybe you have another favourite chain that you’d like to hang the Ginkgo pendant on – all depending on your mood and outfit of the day. The chain can even be wrapped around your wrist for a bracelet about three times, depending on wrist width.
You might righteously ask yourself why an arctic artisan is making a Ginkgo leaf? Scandinavians secretly in love with Japanese art? Actually, in 2017 I was invited to join the Arktisk Filharmoni to represent northern Norwegian design in Tokyo, and during these six fantastic days staying in Shibuya I saw many Ginkgo trees, and completely fell in love with their symbolism of longevity. They can live up to a thousand years and survive almost anything, – so beautiful.
