Japanese artist Hokusai and his Great Wave off Kanagawa famous since the 1830’s. Thich Nat Hanh, buddhist monk and activist from Vietnam who with a metaphor of the wave an ocean shared how human consciousness realises that it is not separate from universal consciousness. North is a symbol of identity, unity, and wholeness.
